REVIEW: Lime Crime Venus grunge palette

sadly, I checked the website and they are out of stock of the bundle but hopefully they get them back in
This is a really late review but, fortunately Lime Crime is still selling this palette and the second one separately! Ok, so let's get into the review. First off.. this palette is so beautiful. I mean if you like this type of artwork you will love this right off the bat. I would really like to know who designed it.^.^
It includes 8 shades that are either red based or compliment the red tones in the palette. Five of the shades are matte: creation, icon, rebirth, divine, and muse. The other three are what I would consider satin: venus, shell, and aura. The mirror inside is a great size as well.

I''ve put a cherry over my 3 favorite colors~^.^

  • venus: satin cherry red
  • shell: satin coral pink
  • aura: satin sandy champagne (great for highlight)
  • creation: matte saddle brown
  • icon: matte milk chocolate brown
  • rebirth: matte coral pink
  • divine: matte light beige purple (very similar to nooner from the naked 3 palette but the more purpley)
  • muse: matte deep paprika red
None of the colors disappointed me when it came down to the pigmentation and if you don't have super oily eyelids they last all day. I do recommend you use a primer or concealer though if you know how your eyelids will react, just to ensure the longevity. Other than that here are the colors on my fingers and some swatches.~

Each color has two passes on both my fingers and arm.
So in conclusion.. here are my pros and cons.. although I like this palette so much I'll just make this for your decision on purchasing it.
PROS
  1. this palette deserves an A in creativity for the colors and packaging
  2. the red colors don't stain your eyelids
  3. the color pay off is really great
  4. it has a great balance of browns and pinks so your eye makeup won't make you look sick or disease infested -.-
  5. its the perfect palette for grunge looks whether or not you use the reds in it
  6. the mattes blend excellently
CONS
  1. I tend to have to use a primer with these so that the colors truly pop
  2. if I wear one of the satin colors and blink it stays on the top of my eyelid
